Country House Photographer in Andalusia

My photography for country houses is based on the needs of today's Hospitality sector and on my experience with rural hotels, estates and cortijos, mainly in Andalusia, in places as different from each other as Jerez or Frigiliana.

An effective photoshoot for the property's website, booking platforms and, often, specialist magazines has to combine photography of interior design and architecture, in keeping with the character of each place, with lifestyle images and context shots, because the product goes beyond the accommodation itself: the natural surroundings and the experiences of the area count almost more when guests choose where to stay.

That is why I plan each project by looking at the location, what it offers and the time of year, with the aim of giving future guests the chance to picture the whole experience, in a way that is attractive and, at the same time, true to life. Also, if the country house serves food, we will work together on food photography of dishes, breakfasts and the kitchen, because in most cases rural tourism is also food tourism.

I offer services that go beyond photography, such as video, home staging, creative consulting, art direction and aerial drone photography, including permit management. I am based in Malaga and work throughout Andalusia and Spain, and I am available to travel to any destination.

LATEST PROJECTS

HACIENDA LAS MESAS

Hacienda Las Mesas, a hunting estate from 1590 right outside Jerez (Andalusia, Spain), needed to renew its visual material and bring it in line with its new brand identity and the standards of a boutique rural retreat.

Over the four days of the shoot I photographed the same spaces at different times of day, each with its own specific staging by Hanoi Terrero, built around the lifestyle concept the hospitality brand had in mind.

Outdoors I worked almost entirely with natural light, while the interiors are a mix of ambient light and flash. I kept the colour palette raw and textured, carrying the rustic, historic character of the place.

AMARA FRIGILIANA

I planned the photoshoot for the Amara country house in Frigiliana (Malaga, Andalusia) around frontal compositions, aiming to document the building's restoration work, faithful to its original Mudejar and Mozarabic architecture, and to create a look that would also work across booking platforms.

With diffused lighting and a light, non-invasive retouching process, we managed to visually translate the editorial and promotional direction set out in the initial brief: transparency.
