Located in the old town of Marbella, one of the most sought-after spots in the tourist market of Málaga and the Costa del Sol, Casa Azalia occupies an old mansion from 1932 renovated to become a high-level tourist accommodation. It is a complete home for rent, a type of property that is not very common in this area of the city, especially due to its size, its architectural character, and the level of finishes.
The renovation has been carried out by the Azalia team together with the architect and interior designer Helena Rocha, respecting the elements typical of the Andalusian and Mudejar architecture of the building and adapting them to a contemporary use. The project maintains the original identity of the house while introducing current solutions in distribution, comfort, and functionality, in line with the needs and demands of the current tourist market.
The report combines architecture photography, renovation, and interior design with a clearly hospitality-oriented approach. The images show the relationship between the different spaces, their proportions, and how they connect to each other. The occasional inclusion of people helps to understand the scale of the house and facilitates the reading of key areas such as courtyards, common areas, and bedrooms.
The production was carried out in a full day, with the house not yet open to the public, which allowed us to work with total control of the space, the timeline and to follow the shooting and recording schedule created during the pre-production phase of the project. The lighting was mainly supported by natural light, complemented at times with fill-in flashes, with the aim of faithfully reproducing materials, colors, and atmospheres.
The project is completed with a promotional video, carried out in collaboration with Libra Producciones, conceived as a support to the photographic report and as a resource for different promotion and marketing channels of the accommodation.
