The hotel Kimpton Los Monteros, in Marbella, is one of the brands integrated in the IHG Hotels & Resorts group, one of the major international benchmarks in the Hospitality sector. The photographic and audiovisual project developed for the hotel has been carried out through different independent sessions, all of them designed to build a coherent visual language that covers the different areas and services of the resort.
Each production starts from the brief defined by the chain, which is valued and adapted to the operational reality of the hotel and to the different communication channels. This allowed working while maintaining shared criteria —from the framing to the treatment of light and color— so that the different areas of the hotel, such as the Jara Restaurant or the rooftop bar Escondido, are perceived as part of the same experience, while maintaining the unique identity of each space, whether it be architecture, gastronomy, lifestyle or other services.
The sessions have been carried out with the hotel fully operational, which has required precise planning and a very agile execution. In this context, the work demands solving very different situations in reduced times, switching from photographing architectural spaces to details, portraits or real use scenes, with controlled lighting and no margin to interfere with the daily operations.
The images have been created considering their use on multiple media, facilitating their adaptation to web, booking platforms, editorial campaigns and online and offline communication materials. This approach responds to the demands of an environment like that of IHG Hotels & Resorts, where visual consistency, production efficiency and technical control are key factors to maintain solid communication in the long term.
