The restaurant Jara, led by chef José Carlos García, is the gastronomic heart of the Kimpton Los Monteros hotel in Marbella (Costa del Sol). Its cuisine combines high-quality local products with a personal touch in every dish.
The images from this food photography project focus on naturalness: ambient light was used, complemented by flashes, to achieve balanced lighting that respected the real colors and textures without embellishments. Many of the chosen compositions made use of architectural and decorative elements of the restaurant, combining them with the dishes in a simple and careful way.
Short videos and reels were also recorded following the same approach: clear and straightforward shots, without artifice, consistent with the environment.
Thanks to thorough pre-planning, the session was completed in half a day. This allowed for optimized timing and minimized impact on the hotel’s daily operations, respecting both the staff and the guests.
